cicle Cinestèsies del Centre Cívic Ateneu Fort Pienc

Moritz Feed Dog collaborates in the new edition of the Cinestèsies cycle of the Centre Cívic Ateneu Fort Pienc, which this year has fashion as its central theme

Barcelona, March 10, 2025. Cinestèsies, cinema i pensament is a cycle organized by the Centre Cívic Ateneu Fort Pienc that seeks to develop a critical and reflective view of current events based on these two disciplines. The fourth edition of Cinestèsies will revolve around fashion and, under the title Fashion, identity or submission, will reflect on concepts such as sustainability and the impact that fashion has on society. This year, Moritz Feed Dog is collaborating in the organization of two activities: a talk on style in cinema, by art historian Rita Rakosnik, and the screening of the documentary Dior et moi (2014), by French director Fréderic Theng.

Wednesday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m.

Talk: Style between lights, camera and action

By Rita Rakosnik, art historian

If dressing always functions as an inventory of our desire, this is further intensified through the screen, on stage and the red carpet. We will take a syncretic tour of some of the most emblematic milestones of fashion and costume design in show business: from The Red Shoes to Priscilla, from Edith Head to Mona May and from Audrey Hepburn to Parker Posey.

Thursday, March 13, at 7 p.m.

Screening of the documentary Dior et moi, followed by a film forum by Rita Rakosnik.

Directed by: Fréderic Theng, 2014, France, 90 min, original version in French and English with Spanish subtitles

The documentary follows the creative process of Raf Simons’ first collection, when he takes on the responsibility of reviving the legacy of the Dior house as creative director after the abrupt departure of Galliano. Dior et moi is not just a look at fashion, it is a tribute to the craft and art that makes the invisible magic that gives life to haute couture possible with every kick.
