What stories lie behind those anonymous young workers in the factories? Beneath their quiet concentration, watched by relentless eyes, the poetry of youth quietly unfolds. This exquisite film observes without judgment or intrusion.

An unremarkable mid-sized city in China. Textile factories. Countless young people from rural provinces chasing a future. A combination of factors as common as it is alienating.

These twenty-somethings save every cent, hoping to start a family and own a home. They share dormitories, eat in the hallways, fight and fall in love, working 15-hour days. Paid per piece, they must keep up. Over time, they become a strange, synchronized army, all moving toward the same dream. A minimalist, generational portrait that captivated Cannes—inviting the viewer to simply surrender to the experience.
