Interview with Bina Daigeler, Costume Designer for the Series Cristóbal Balenciaga
One of the biggest TV hits of recent times has been the series Cristóbal Balenciaga (Disney+). The six-episode series explores the life of the Basque designer, from his humble beginnings in Getaria to achieving the status of a grand master in Paris. The challenge of replicating Balenciaga’s designs, as well as dressing the characters in the series, was entrusted to Bina Daigeler, a German costume designer who has been nominated five times for the Goya Awards and once for the Oscars. Fashion journalist Leticia García will talk with Daigeler about this exciting yet challenging project.
